Bachelor of Science (BS)

The undergraduate program prepares students to become professiona nurses who can competently work independently or collaboratively to provide preventive, promotive, curative, and rehabilitative healthcare services to individuals, families, groups, and communities. Courses on physical, behavioral, biological, and social sciences are well integrated in the curricula to train students to provide comprehensive, safe, high-quality care in clinical and public health settings. Effective communication, leadership, teamwork, critical thinking, and problem solving are core skills in all undergraduate courses. Full-time undergraduate nursing students generally complete their degree in four years.

Master of Science (MS)

The aim of the graduate MS program is to advance the knowledge and skills of practicing nurses and to prepare them to assume leadershop roles including trainer, supervisor, and manager in diverse settings. Advanced courses in research, biostatistics, education, leadership, and bioinformatics help students actively contribute to the advancement of themselves, the nursing profession, and the health of the community. Applying theories to practice, developing and synthesis knowledge, and critically analyzing and solving practice and ethical problems in clinical and community healthcare settings are key objectives of the program. Specialty MS courses are provided in the fields of midwifery and public health to prepare graduates for the relevant national exams. Full-time MS students generally complete their work and successfully defend their thesis after two years.

Midwifery specialty

This special graduate-level midwifery program includes courses in the broader field of midwifery and women’s health, centered on women and their babies during care. This track also emphasizes preconception and reproductive health care, covering women of all ages as well as their families. These courses prepare master’s students for the midwifery national license exam. Therefore, this program requires twice as many credits because it includes midwifery education and practice in addition to the standard graduate master’s program requirements. In return for the additional credits, students are provided with an in-depth study of practical skills and involvement in midwifery research with faculty members.

Post-Doctoral Fellowship
(Postdoc)

In collaboration with the Global Nursing Research Center (GNRC), post-doctoral research fellowships support the development of young researchers who can lead out in transdisciplinary innovative nursing science at the national and global level. Under the mentorship of an experienced researcher, postdocs are expected to deepen their record of scholarship. Seminar attendence increases the comprehensive research knowledge, methodological skills, and global leadership and awareness of postdocs. Training topics include writing research papers in English, leadership in nursing research, qualitative research methods, health quality outcomes, nursing engineering among many others. The postdoc fellowship program aims to strangthen the skills needed for a robust future career in scientific research or academic teaching that advances the fild of nursing.
