Yuki Miyamoto

Dr. Yuki Miymoto is an Associate Professor with over 25 years of experience as a practitioner, researcher, and teacher. As a UTokyo faculty member, she has contributed to the undergraduate and graduate level nursing program since 2004.
Dr. Miyamoto’s area of expertise is mental health and psychiatric nursing, and she is especially interested in the wellbeing of those with mental health difficulties. In her work, she is working on “co-production,” including creating services and creating research with people who have experienced mental health difficulties and other challenges. By promoting and disseminating her research, she hopes to improve mental health and medical welfare to create a society in which each person is respected as they are.
Dr. Miyamoto has been serving as a board member for the Japan Academy of Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing. She has also served on the editorial board of several academic journals.
