Dr. Tamaki Isobe is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nursing Administration and Advanced Clinical Nursing at UTokyo, where she received her PhD in health sciences in 2021. She has 7 years of clinical experience working as a registered nurse at university hospitals. She supports nursing education for undergraduate and graduate students.
Dr. Isobe believes that to deliver the power of nursing effectively and sustainably to society, it is important for each nurse to enrich their professional life. Through her research activities she hopes to contribute to the realization of a more fulfilling personal and professional life for all nurses. Her main research goals are to increase the employability of nurses and to facilitate a shared vision between nurse managers and staff nurses. Using qualitative and quantitative approaches, Dr. Isobe is developing a self-assessment for nurses’ employability. She is engaged in disseminating and implementing her research results through publishing in academic and commercial journals, giving conference presentations, and training nurse managers.
