Psychiatric Nursing
Dr. Mako Iida is a Project Assistant Professor in the Department of Mental Health. She has three years of clinical experience working as a registered nurse at a university hospital. She is also involved in the education of undergraduate and graduate students.
Dr. Iida hopes to contribute to improving the mental health of workers, including nurses, by focusing on organizational factors such as the workplace environment. In particular, she is developing and evaluating a “team job crafting program”, including the process of collaborative activity in organizing their job resources and job demands among nurses working in the hospital. She believes that this program will improve the well-being and work performance of nurses. Also, she engaged in a systematic review and intervention study to identify the effect of participatory workplace improvement among workers.
