Masumi Shinohara
Dr. Masumi Shinohara is a Postdoctoral Fellow of the Global Nursing Research Center, Graduate School of Medicine, University of Tokyo. She has a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in Health Sciences. Her research interests include decision-making about end-of-life care. In particular, she focused on the experiences of older adults with dementia and their family members. She recently conducted a prospective cohort study on advance care planning in home care settings and a qualitative study of surrogate decision-making experiences regarding artificial nutrition and hydration.
