
Akari Maeda-Suzuki

Dr. Akari Maeda-Suzuki is an Assistant Professor of the Department of Community Nursing at UTokyo. She received her master’s degree in a graduate course for national certification as a public health nurse from UTokyo. After three-year experience as a public health nurse, she graduated Ph.D. course in Health Sciences from UTokyo.
Currently, she is giving education courses on home-care nursing for undergraduate students.
Her research interests are interprofessional collaboration in end-of-life care at home, aiming for whoever can receive high-quality care through appropriate collaborations among professionals involved in end-of-life care at home.
Towards better end-of-life care for both the care receivers and the professionals, she is developing theories for interprofessional collaboration and its education program.
