Ai Tomotaki
Dr. Ai Tomotaki is a Project Associate Professor of the Department of Nursing Data Science (Social Cooperation Program), the Graduate School of Medicine at UTokyo.
After working as a nurse at a university hospital, she entered a master’s program and majored in epidemiology and biostatistics. Subsequently, she engaged in physician-initiated clinical research in the medical field. She then joined a nursing university faculty, teaching epidemiology, health statistics, and nursing informatics. She earned her Ph.D. in Nursing Science. Her current work began in January 2025.
Dr. Tomotaki is passionate about generating evidence derived from clinical settings and integrating evidence into practice. Her research particularly focuses on evidence-based practice among advanced practice nurses, dissemination and implementation of evidence-based care, and quantification of nurses’ impact on healthcare through real-world data..
