The Global Nursing Research Center (GNRC) hosted a seminar on February 28th, 2024, featuring Dr. Kristin Akerjordet and Dr. Eva Christina Furskog-Risa, renowned scholars in nursing and midwifery in Norway. The event, held both onsite at the University’s Hongo Campus and online via Zoom, attracted more than 20 attendees from Japan and a diverse global audience. Dr. Akerjordet’s lecture explored leadership challenges in nursing and midwifery, emphasizing resilience-building strategies. She delved into the healthcare system in Norway, providing insights into the nursing education system and discussing the current situation in nursing and midwifery, along with future perspectives. Similarly, Dr. Furskog-Risa’s presentation focused on the Norwegian context of reproductive and maternal healthcare, highlighting future challenges in midwifery practices. The seminar facilitated enriching exchanges of ideas and perspectives, fostering collaboration among professionals worldwide and contributing to a deeper understanding of critical issues shaping the future of nursing and midwifery on a global scale.
