Family caregiver’s concerns and anxiety about unaccompanied out-of-home activities of persons with cognitive impairment

This study investigated family caregivers of individuals with dementia or mild cognitive impairment to determine the factors associated with anxiety about going out. Regardless of actual experience, caregiver anxiety was associated with behavioral concerns. The study suggested the importance of educational support to reassure caregivers.
