Cellular senescence, one of the causes of hard-to-heal wounds, is known to delay wound healing even with standard treatments. Cannabidiol (CBD), a plant-derived cannabinoid, has demonstrated anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties; however, its wound healing effects on senescent cells remain unclear. This study evaluated the effects of CBD using a scratch assay with fibroblasts induced to senescence by hydrogen peroxide. Future developments in preventive care for hard-to-heal wounds are anticipated.
