On February 17, 2025, the Global Nursing Research Center (GNRC) hosted an online seminar featuring Professor Hanna Mayer from Karl Landsteiner University of Health Sciences. The presentation, titled “Person-centeredness – Missed Nursing Care – Moral Distress – Intention to Leave: Where is the Connection? An Insight into Recent Studies from Austria,” discussed the complex interplay between these critical nursing concepts and their impact on patient care and workforce retention. The seminar emphasized the importance of person-centered care across diverse healthcare settings and highlighted how nurses, as persons, influence the effectiveness of health interventions. Attended by 58 participants from various countries and professional backgrounds, the event facilitated a global exchange of perspectives on these pressing issues.
