On December 25th,2023, the Global Nursing Research Center (GNRC) hosted a thought-provoking seminar exploring the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in healthcare. The seminar, titled “Using AI to help achieve better patient outcomes: a research trajectory,” featured Professor Maxim Topaz, the Elizabeth Standish Gill Associate Professor of Nursing at Columbia University Medical Center. Professor Topaz, a distinguished researcher in health informatics, brought his expertise in data science and the application of cutting-edge technologies to advance health outcomes. The seminar drew a diverse audience of approximately 50 individuals, both locally and internationally, who participated either online or onsite.
