What is your clinical/research area of interest?
community health nursing, home care nursing, interprofessional collaboration
What do you like about UTokyo Nursing?
I can learn the difficulties and joys of taking on “what’s new,” as well as in-depth knowledge, ideas, and attitudes from various professors. In addition, I can have many discussions with other graduate students when I have problems with my research. I feel here UTokyo Nursing provides the ideal environment where enables everyone to devote ourselves to research and improve each other’s skills.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Meet with family and friends, read novels, watch dramas and movies on Netflix, and take walks in nature.
What do you hope to do in the next five years?
My long-term hope is to improve the quality of care for those who are living at home with illness or disability, especially vulnerable people. Therefore, in the next five years, I would like to dedicate myself to improving the quality of care in practice and research. My interest also goes to education as I would like to make contributions to the next generation’s education by sharing my experience as a public health nurse and my doctoral program.
Special message to the audience
Here UTokyo Nursing gives me a lot of opportunities to learn from experts in the field of nursing as well as outside of my field. For example, in Spring-GX, the support program for doctoral students, there are meetings where 600 graduate students from various fields can have brainstorming together to share each specialty from various fields, which brings a lot of stimulation to me. The program also gave me an opportunity to introduce my research on YouTube(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GE1XlBG67SI). I am confident that personal connections I have made during my life at UTokyo Nursing will be invaluable to me in my life. I hope you, too, will experience the joy of learning at UTokyo Nursing!
