Development of Four‐Item Attitudes toward People Living with Dementia Scale for population surveys

Dementia-friendly initiatives have been implemented in communities around the world, but the quantitative evaluation of these initiatives has been lacking. This study developed and validated a shortened, four-item version of a scale measuring the general public’s ” attitudes toward people living with dementia. This scale is easier to incorporate into a large-scale survey than the previous longer version, and is expected to be used in evaluations.
