A delegation from Ramathibodi School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine, Ramathibodi Hospital, Thailand, visited UTokyo Nursing and the Global Nursing Research Center (GNRC) on April 18th, 2023, to discuss potential academic collaborations and exchange programs. The visit included presentations by Prof. Noriko Yamamoto-Mitani, Director of the GNRC, and Assist. Prof. Jumpee Granger, Deputy Director for International Relations at Ramathibodi School of Nursing. The delegation was also given a tour of UTokyo’s labs and The University of Tokyo Hospital, during which they received a lecture by Dr. Yukie Takemura, Director of the Nursing Department. Opportunities for collaboration, such as student exchange programs and joint research, were also discussed, with both universities expressing enthusiasm for the potential of these initiatives. The visit was deemed a success, and plans to strengthen academic ties between the institutions are in the works.
