Associate Professor Kyoko Yoshioka and her research team conducted an implementation study evaluating the usability of a co-designed benchmarking dashboard developed with 57 supervisory public health nurses and staff from three municipalities.
The supervisory public health nurses identified organizational challenges such as human resource development and managing numerous individual support cases. They used the dashboard strategically to promote data-driven workforce development and strengthen management capacity.
Findings suggest that the system fosters evidence-based supervision and supports leadership development among supervisory public health nurses. This digital model is expected to contribute to improving the quality and equity of community health services, offering a practical approach to advancing evidence-based public health nursing management.
